Diwali was celebrated on October 20th this year, the same day at Uncle Jared’s 40th birthday. Quite a reason to celebrate!
The diyas were lit on the lazy susan with care, and Ganesh stood watch over all of our fare.
After a dinner of paneer tikka, dal, rice, rotis and samosas, the gifts were given to the children. Each received a handmade, personalized bookmark and a new tin mug for drinking hot chocolate on nature adventures! It was an exciting time for all.
Of course the mug had to be tried out right away!
