This year, for our Science/Nature work, we are conducting a longitudinal study of the seasons and weather patterns at the Roof of Wrentham, a very exclusive hiking trail near our house. Each week, we ascend the the staggering altitude of 440 feet above sea level and survey the land.
From our lofty perch, we can observe Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, and further in the distance, the Boston skyline with its modestly impressive skyscrapers and Zakim bridge. First, we snap a picture from the same spot with the same composition each time to document the seasonal changes. Then, nature journals in hand, we sketch out whatever catches our eye. Sometimes that is something in nature, and sometimes that is a portrait of our sibling posing on a rocky outcropping.
A collection of our photos so far, starting from our first

The most recent photo was taken much later, hence the greater shadows across the top. Not too much change in foliage yet, but hopefully we see some nice color changes in the coming weeks!
Stay tuned for more photos!
